If you like the year 1972 in music, you could dig this record. A big deliberate tip of the hat to a lot of the 70’s ‘California sound’ songwriters. A mess of thoughts and perceptions and small triumphs against big odds.

Also….a few months ago, I played my last foreseeable show with The Album Leaf in order to do my own music more…it was a difficult choice for me, but I would like to say how lucky I have been to have played for such a long time (about 8 years) with my best friends, lighting off firecrackers in Orlando, Pittsburgh, Baton Rouge; getting drunk in old monasteries in Salzburg; karaoke all hours in Tokyo; 13 hour 18 hour 21 hour flights; playing festivals, countless shitty dives and then a lot more chic dives and often theaters; many many more tomes than I could regale here - The Album Leaf will always be very special to me, and as Jimmy’s close friend, I know him, and I know he will land a far better guitarist soon, with way better hair than I ever had, and probably tighter pants, too.

On March 19th, my first full length album, Only Mirrors, will be made available for sale across Europe! I have signed with Lili is Pi records for the album, and am excited about this coming release across Europe!

Also this month, my new EP, Playing Birthday Games, will be released by Minty Fresh in the United States and Asia, with a street date of March 23rd! I am very happy with this little collection of songs, and hope you enjoy as well! The EP will be offered in two formats for the time being: a coloring book with digital download included, or a Minty Fresh/ITUNES online download of the new EP.

Jimmy and the rest of us in The Album Leaf have just finished our first stretch of the West Coast Tour. It was truly amazing to see everybody so happy and excited about the new shows and new songs from A Chorus of Storytellers! Sea Wolf has been a blast to play music with, the string quartets were so rewarding to perform with, and all of us attached to the Album Leaf band are really excited about the upcoming European, Asian, and U.S. tours!
